Budget airline Wizz Air offer direct scheduled flights from London Luton to Bourgas airport, which is about 25 minutes' drive from Garden of Eden, 3 times a week (outward Monday, Wednesday & Saturday, return Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday). Prices are from £19.99 each way and so a return fare including all taxes can cost as little as £80. You can book online here.

Scheduled flights twice-weekly to Bourgas airport are also being run by Bulgaria Air from 31 May 2006 direct from London Gatwick on Wednesdays and Friday, for £175 return fare including all taxes.

Bulgaria Air are starting flights from Dublin to Sofia, Bourgas and Varna airports for summer 2006.

During the summer there are any number of charter flights from most UK (and other countries') airports to Bourgas airport. These are usually sold with accommodation for 7 or 14 days by the major tour operators (Thomson, Thomas Cook, Balkan Holidays etc).

More scheduled flights by other operators to Bourgas airport are expected to be established shortly, and competition should keep flight prices down! And Bourgas airport is now able to land 'jumbo jet' (Boeing 747) aeroplanes.

British Airways run scheduled flights to Varna from London Gatwick, with prices including all charges c.£150 return. Bulgaria Air, Bulgaria's flag carrier, flies London to Varna non-stop, and also Amsterdam to Varna. Malev Airlines also runs scheduled flights to Varna from London via Budapest on Tuesdays and Saturdays (outward 07:15-15:15, return 16:05-20:05). Varna is about 90 minutes' drive from Garden of Eden.

The capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, is served by a number of airlines, including Bulgaria Air, EasyJet and British Airways, but it is at least 5 hours' drive to the coast and Garden of Eden. There are internal flights by Hemus Air Sofia-Bourgas and Sofia-Varna but their reliability can vary.
