Q. What is the maximum number of guests allowed in WelcomeVilla?
A. Our spacious villa with its four huge bedrooms (two master suites and two twin rooms) and a double sofa bed sleeps ten adults comfortably. There is also a cot/crib which can be used if required to accommodate one infant. The maximum number of guests permit able in the villa is ten plus an infant.
Q. Is smoking or are pets allowed in the home?
A. For the comfort and safety of all guests, smoking is strictly prohibited inside WelcomeVilla (which is fitted with smoke detectors), as well as outside near the pool on the deck area. Guests however are allowed to smoke outside of the pool screen area, on the grass areas provided that they exercise caution and dispose of their butts sensibly. Pets, of any type, is also strictly prohibited, for insurance and hygienic reasons
Q. Is the pool and/or spa heated?
A. The pool and/or spa can be heated for an additional charge as noted in the booking form and on the Rates webpage. These costs are necessary due to the high electric cost. We would recommend pool heat from November through to March.
Q. What facilities are provided for small children?
A. WelcomeVilla is well equipped for our younger guests too. Our villa comes complete with a small cot/crib, high chair, stair gates, and a pair of baby listening monitors, as well as some toys. There are also DVD's, books, board games and a PS2/GameCube in each of the twin room for older children. Some games for the games consoles are also provided.
The games room provides table foosball/football, an 8’x4’ pool table, and a 7’ air hockey table for everyone to enjoy - young and old.
Q. Are there facilities for sending emails and surfing the Internet?
A. WelcomeVilla is equipped with a high specs computer and fast Internet access (5 MB per second). A wireless router is also provided, enabling you to use your personal laptop to connect to the Internet if so required.
Q. How often does the home get cleaned, and the pool?
A. WelcomeVilla is cleaned and inspected before your arrival by licensed cleaning professionals. A mid term clean can also be provided by arrangement, for a local charge. The pool and garden are tended to weekly free of charge.
Q. What entertainment is provided in the home?
A. Besides the games room with its table football/foosball, pool table and air hockey table, there are some popular board games, books, PS2 and GameCube consoles both with dual controllers and games in the twin rooms and a selection of DVD movies and music CDs.
There are also cable TVs and DVD players in all bedrooms as well as a 52" wide screen TV, home cinema/theater system with DVD player in the family room.
Q. Which direction does the pool/spa faces?
A. WelcomeVilla has a south eastern facing pool and spa. Sunshine is received on the pool/spa and deck area pretty much all day. A large parasol is provided for shade if the sun gets too hot, otherwise just dip in the pool to cool down.
Q. Does the villa have a telephone?
A. A telephone with an answering machine is provided in WelcomeVilla.
Guests in the villa can receive and make unlimited local, national and international phone calls for free. Please use it sensibly.
Q. What do we need to bring with us?
A. Apart from yourself and your personal items, not much really. All linens and towels (large and small) are provided in amble. There are two hair dryers in the villa. You might want to bring some common medications such as Paracetamols, Calpol, etc - hopefully you will not need them but just in case. Remember to take back your own personal items as we can not guaranteed other guests will be able to bring them back for you
Q. Are the main attractions, shopping, golf courses and restaurants near by?
A. Yes they are ALL literally within minutes drive away. WelcomeVilla is prime location for all the above but also it is situated in a most peaceful, natural and beautiful surrounding. Please see our ‘Places of Interest’ webpage and its links for more details.
Q. Is there a supermarket near by for daily items?
A. A large local supermarket is about a mile (one minute drive) away, along Champions Gate, selling pretty much all items for your daily needs.
Q. Does the Windwood Bay Community have a common pool and recreational areas?
A. No. The Windwood Bay development is a small community of very large houses mixing vacational homes with local residences. It is a quiet and peaceful community with easy access to an abundance of recreational places, all of which are only minutes by car away. The houses themselves each have large private pools (some with spas/Jacuzzi) for the guests enjoyment without the need to share a common pool. There are some spots of recreation areas within the community for young kids to run about safely and within sight of their parents/guardians.
Q. Are there any medical services nearby?
A. For minor accidents there is a first aid kit in the villa. There is a pharmacy about 3 minutes away at Champions Gate. It opens 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. To see a doctor, there is a walk in medical centre just 8 minutes away. Details and phone numbers are all in the folder inside WelcomeVilla.
Q. What do we do if we encounter problems or have questions during our stay?
A. We have employed a professional management company to look after your every need. They can be contacted in an emergency 24/7. A ‘Welcome Guests’ folder with very useful information and contact numbers is provided at the villa. The information in this folder ranges from how to use applications in the villa to refuse collection days, to recommended attractions and restaurants. It is worth reading through this folder when you first arrive.
Q. How do we locate WelcomeVilla?
A. Directions and a bunch of other useful information will be sent, as a welcome pack, to you approx 2 weeks before arrival. WelcomeVilla is easily reached on main roads from the airports and should not take longer than 20mins drive from Orlando International Airport (approx. 50 mins from Sandford International Airport). The key to the villa is held in a combination locked box at the villa. We will let you know your unique code to access the key to enter the villa with the Welcome Pack before you arrive. This means that you can go straight to the villa upon arrival in Orlando without having to visit any office to pick up keys etc.
